Ben Winspear has been teaching Art for many years.
His teaching approach is to understand the needs of each individual student and the level of their skills. 
He shares a wide range of art knowledge and emphasises the important fundamentals of materials,
drawing and learning how to ‘see’.

INTRODUCTION TO ART MATERIALS

Don’t know what you need to get started and interested in getting the most out of your painting?
What is the difference between a Rigger and a Dagger, a Flat and a Filbert?
What is the “Fat Over Lean” rule for Oil Painting?
During these workshops, Ben will guide you through the many materials available in OIL and WATERCOLOUR.

LANDSCAPES – WITH A FOCUS ON THE SEA Term 3

In this class, Ben will guide you through the fundamentals and some advance techniques focusing on the wonderful
subject of the sea.
Tuition will be through a combination of demonstrations, practical tips and mentoring in this online group.

Ben will also guide you through the set up Zoom (online meeting rooms) in a simple way so you can attend this
class from your own home.

OIL PAINTING CLASSES
Morning Class – with a focus on figure, portrait and still life.

In this class, students will be instructed in the techniques of oil painting in the traditional.
Subjects covered in this class include still life and portrait and figure studies, through demonstrations, critiques of class
and your own work, master copies and general education around materials and the foundations of painting.

Evening Class

This class will focus on Ben guiding you learn and grow in your painting journey.
Through demonstrations, critiques of class and your own work, master copies and general education around materials
and the foundations of painting you will grow and develop as artist.

When | Wednesday weekly, commencing 15th July 2020, concluding 16th September (10 week term)


Wednesday Morning – 10am –12:30pm – Focus on figure, portrait and still life.
Wednesday Evening – 7pm – 9.30pm – Focus on your painting journey.

DRAWING & PAINTING FOR ALL LEVELS – ANY MEDIUM

This class is suitable for any media you would like to work in….including oil, watercolour, acrylic, pastel or drawing.
Through set exercises – or your own work – Ben will guide you through the foundation principals of drawing, painting
and your chosen medium helping you to get to that next level.

When | Wednesday Afternoon – 2pm – 4:30pm

KING RIVER ART RETREAT

King River Art Retreat is a regular retreat focusing on several days of solid tuition, delicious home cooked meals, superb
